Our Team

  • Bella (She/her) - Program Support Coordinator

I am passionate about the work we do at MPCPC and proud to serve the neighbourhood I live in. Supporting an organization that welcomes and serves all groups in Mount Pleasant is deeply meaningful to me, because it ensures that everyone feels included and supported. In my role as Program Support, I value the opportunity to connect with residents, listen to their concerns, and help create and implement programs that meet the unique needs of our community. What inspires me most is seeing the tangible difference our efforts make, whether through small daily interactions, community events, or long-term initiatives that strengthen trust and safety. Having first joined MPCPC as an intern, I am grateful to now continue this work in a larger capacity, where I can contribute to both the growth of the organization and the building of lasting relationships that reflect the heart of Mount Pleasant

  • Kirpal (She/Her) - Volunteer & Communication Coordinator

I started my journey at Mount Pleasant Community Centre as a volunteer, where I had the pleasure of working alongside incredible fellow volunteers and a dedicated staff team. Their passion and commitment to the community inspired me every day. The supportive and welcoming environment made my experience truly rewarding. Now, as the Volunteer and Communication Coordinator, I’m grateful to give back to the place that helped me grow. I encourage anyone looking for a meaningful experience to get involved—you’ll not only make a difference but also find a community that supports and inspires you every step of the way

  • Melissa (She/her) - Executive Director

“I’m driven by compassion and care for the Mount Pleasant community. Not knowing what to do or who to contact when you feel unsafe is a scary and isolating feeling. My hope is that everyone who comes through our doors knows that this is a place where they can receive support.”

Our Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. The work we do is impossible without their dedication, compassion and care for the community.
