The Mount Pleasant Community Policing Centre will be hosting a Winter Safety Tabling Event at Kingsgate Mall to help residents stay informed and prepared during the colder months. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to support community safety, increase awareness, and provide practical resources that make winter conditions easier and safer to navigate.

Throughout the event, volunteers and staff will be sharing information on pedestrian visibility, road and sidewalk safety, personal safety while commuting, and ways to reduce risks during hazardous weather. To support these conversations, we will be giving away the newly designed ICBC reflectors, which are intended to help improve visibility for anyone walking after dark. We will also be providing individually packed deicing salt for residential steps and walkways to help prevent slips and falls during icy conditions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about winter safety tools, and take home items that can make a meaningful difference in their daily routines. Our team will be engaging with shoppers and local residents throughout the event, aiming to build connections and promote a shared understanding of seasonal safety challenges.

By hosting this event at Kingsgate Mall, we hope to create a welcoming and accessible space for community members to gather helpful information and resources.
